OstenMark What it is: A contract manufacturer and exporter of soft goods — leather goods, footwear, apparel, and textiles — operating its own production floors rather than brokering work to third parties.
Who it sells to: Fashion, lifestyle, and retail brands, specifically their procurement and sourcing teams. Not consumers. The site is written for the person running vendor qualification, not the person buying a handbag.
The core proposition: One counterparty owns everything. Materials, conversion, inspection, export documentation, and — critically — the legal liability all sit with a single contracting entity. The competitor being displaced isn't another factory; it's the sourcing agent who subcontracts a run without telling you, then can't be held to account when a lot fails inspection three weeks before launch.
How brands engage — three models:
Full-package production — hand over a tech pack, receive finished, inspected, packed goods.
Cut, make and trim — the brand consigns its own materials; Meridian supplies line, labour, and quality system. For brands that have mill relationships and need capacity, not sourcing.
Managed supplier network — for categories outside its own floors, Meridian appoints, audits, and manages third-party vendors under its own contract and quality protocol, retaining liability.
What it makes: Bags, luggage and small leather accessories; lasted footwear (cemented, Goodyear-welted, vulcanised); cut-and-sew apparel and technical outerwear; woven and knitted fabric with in-house dyeing and finishing. Minimums start around 150 units per style; lead times run 25–60 working days.
Why a buyer would believe it: The site leads with verifiable operating data rather than craft adjectives — 12.4M annual unit capacity, 99.4% AQL 2.5 pass rate, 97.8% on-time shipment against confirmed ETD — backed by a published certification register (ISO 9001/14001, SMETA, OEKO-TEX, LWG Gold, GOTS, BSCI, REACH) with issuing bodies and expiry dates. Unannounced audit access to any site is written into standard terms.
In one sentence: A vertically integrated, audit-ready private-label manufacturer for brands that have to prove where their products actually come from.
